Creation of Europe’s largest clinical diagnostic company through an ambitious build-up.
Labco was created by Careventures Partners Eric Souêtre and Maxime de Thomaz, acting as CEO and CFO, respectively. Since its foundation in 2003, the company made more than 150 acquisitions in seven European countries (France, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Belgium, Germany and the UK).
Labco’s business model was based on a network of independent healthcare professionals focused on delivering high quality and efficient diagnostic services to patients throughout Europe.
In 2015, the company was successfully sold to Cinven for an enterprise value above €1.2bn. By that time, the company generated pro-forma revenues of c.€650m, employed over 6,000 people and conducted over 150 million tests per year on c.20 million patients.
